From Navy veteran to nonprofit IT coordinator — operations has always been my thing.
My career started in the U.S. Navy, where I maintained refrigeration systems, generators, and mechanical equipment under pressure. That foundation — troubleshooting fast, documenting clearly, keeping things running — turned out to be the perfect training ground for everything that came next.
Over the years I've managed HVAC branch operations across two Florida markets, overseeing 26 technicians and running every aspect of the business from HR and safety training to project management and inventory. Later, at Life House — a nonprofit serving homeless and at-risk youth in Duluth, MN — I've worn just about every hat available: facilities technician, IT coordinator, safety committee leader, vendor manager, and in-kind donation coordinator, all at once.
Along the way I kept noticing the same problem everywhere: organizations were drowning in manual workarounds, disconnected tools, and processes that only existed inside someone's head. I became the person who fixed those things — and eventually decided to do it full time.
